Our Provision Managers have extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the whole Education Welfare and School Attendance sector, and related legislation.
We advise on every aspect of Schools' Attendance Policy and Practice through consultation visits to schools.
We will also advise you on any matters arising from legislation related to schools.
SAFEGUARDING SUPPORT
Irregular school attendance can be related to a number of other social issues, including:
- Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
- Domestic Violence
- Gang affiliation
- Bullying
Our Provision Managers have experience in dealing with all issues related to irregular school attendance. We fully believe that all children deserve an education, regardless of any complex issues outside of school. Through intensive, early intervention we ensure that all children's education is protected. We will always ensure that appropriate members of staff are notified of any issues raised.
ESSEX POLICE ACCREDITATION
All our Provision Managers are Police Accredited under Essex Police's 'Community Safety Accreditation Scheme'. This empowers Aquinas to swifty issue Fixed Penalty Notices to the parents of irregularly attending children. This is our last resort, but evidence shows it to be an effective tool in improving attendance and ensuring every child receives their educational entitlement.
